Singer, composer and percussionist Celso Paco from Mozambique is fronting this group. African genres are often the starting point. However, since the musicians are of the kind that keep their minds open for whatever they find thrilling in music, art and life in general, their combined efforts give the group a unique sound of its own.

Celso Paco grew up within the music and dancing scene in Mozambique, being familiar with local styles around his home town, Maputo, but he is also inspired by the music of the neighboring countries of Zimbabwe and South Africa. Being a worldwide traveler in music, Celso has also been inspired a lot by other Pan-African styles, as well as by the international rock, jazz and fusion scene. In his songs, Celso expresses personal experience and reflections performed in a variety of languages – Ronga, Shona, Portuguese, English…

Whatever the origin and styles of their music might be, Celso Paco & Dynamo de Luxe are devoted to the poetry, groove and energy of AFRO MUSIC! The result is a mesmerizing, moving and catchy mix of rolling rhythms, harmonies and sounds that have made a great impact on their audiences – from small clubs to big festivals. The mission of this band is to get audiences everywhere on their feet dancing to this unique sound and rhythms!

The band has released two critically acclaimed albums: “Dugongo” in 2011 and ”Moçambique” in 2018. Both albums were dropped on their own label EKO in Gothenburg HB. Available on Spotify!
